Keurusselkä is located approximately 65 kilometers from Jyväskylä and 80 kilometers
from Jyväskylä Airport.
By flight
Saturday, August 7
If you fly to Helsinki, please take a connecting Finnair flight AY 291
(Departure from Helsinki 14.55, Arrival at Jyväskylä 15.45). There will
be no SAS (Air Botnia) flights from Helsinki to Jyväskylä that day.
If you fly to Stockholm, please take a connecting SAS (Air Botnia)
flight KF032 (Departure from Stockholm 09.45, Arrival at Jyväskylä
12.10). Remember to make your reservations early because these aircrafts
are small (app. 30 seats)!
A conference bus will pick up the participants
at the airport of Jyväskylä at 16.15 (or after
everyone gets his/her luggage) and take
them to Hotel Keurusselkä.
Tuesday August 10
If you plan to take the conference bus to the airport, please take the
Finnair flight AY 292 (Departure from Jyväskylä 16.00, Arrival at
Helsinki 16.50),
There will be no flights from Jyväskylä to Stockholm on that day. You
can use
Finnair flight AY 797 from Helsinki to Stockholm (Departure from
Helsinki 17.30,
Arrival at Stockholm 17.25).
By train
Saturday August 7
If you are coming to Jyväskylä from the south-west direction of
Tampere (via Jämsä), please take the train P 809 arriving at
Jyväskylä
at 16.33. If you are coming from east (via Pieksämäki), please
take the
train P 820 arriving at Jyväskylä at 16.20. A conference bus
will pick up
the participants at the railway station of Jyväskylä at 16.40
and take
them to Hotel Keurusselkä.
If you are coming from the north-west direction of Vaasa (via
Haapamäki), please take the train P 520 arriving at Keuruu at
12.30.
From the Keuruu station, you can take a taxi to Keurusselkä. The
price
will be affordable because the distance to the hotel is fairly
short. This is
also more comfortable than waiting three hours at the railway
station of
Jyväskylä for our bus to pick you up.
